Custom T-Shirts in Grand Rapids: Printed Tees vs. DTF Transfers
Whether it's shirts for your business, your team, a family reunion or a fundraiser, custom tees are one of the easiest ways to get your name out there. At Signs616 we offer two ways to put your design on a shirt. Here's how they compare so you can pick what fits your project.
Full-color printed tees
With printed tees, your design goes right onto the shirt. Detailed logos, photos and gradients all come out crisp and colorful, with no limits on colors. We use soft 100% cotton tees in sizes S through 3XL, printed on the front, back or both. There are no big minimums, so you can order one shirt or a whole crew.
DTF transfers
DTF, short for direct-to-film, is a full-color transfer that gets heat-pressed onto the garment. It works on cotton, polyester and blends, which makes it a great choice for hoodies, totes and other gear that isn't a plain cotton tee. Transfers can be up to 22 inches wide.
Which one should I choose?
For a classic cotton T-shirt, printed tees are usually the way to go. If you're decorating hoodies, bags, or polyester or blended shirts, DTF is the better fit. Not sure? Tell us what you're making and we'll point you in the right direction.
Need help with the design?
We do artwork in-house. Send us your logo, a sketch, or even an AI image, and we'll get it print-ready. Design fees start at $50 and go up to $175 depending on the work.
